My Top Priorities
I am dedicated to addressing the most pressing challenges facing New Hampshire today. From protecting and strengthening our democracy to ensuring the rights and well-being of all our citizens, I am committed to creating a fairer, more inclusive, and sustainable future.
Reproductive Rights
In June of 2022, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, removing the constitutional right to an abortion. Every year since then, New Hampshire Republicans have attempted to implement draconian, anti-abortion laws. I support women's rights to make private medical decisions without government interference and will fight tirelessly to protect and strengthen those rights.
High property taxes are a burden on many families. New Hampshire Democrats continue to LEAD initiatives to lower property tax rates, rather than raising rates catering to the ultra wealthy. I will work with my fellow Democrats to provide property tax relief by advocating for more equitable funding for local governments and schools.
Climate Change
Ninety-Seven percent of scientists agree: humans are causing climate change and global warming. The vast majority of scientists agree we need to act now. I support increased investment in green energy and green energy manufacturing, which has the promise of bringing strong, middle class jobs to New Hampshire.
Education is the key to a brighter future. I will push for increased funding for public schools, better pay for teachers, and expanded access to early childhood education. By investing in our education system, we ensure that every child has the opportunity to succeed and contribute to our community.
Democracy is the cornerstone of our society. I am committed to protecting voting rights, ensuring fair elections, and increasing transparency in government. By promoting policies that make it easier for everyone to vote and cracking down on gerrymandering and voter suppression, we can strengthen our democratic institutions and ensure that every voice is heard.
A strong middle class is the bedrock of our community and a strong middle class starts with better paying jobs. New Hampshire needs a higher minimum wage and increased investment to bring modern jobs to New Hampshire, like green manufacturing, technology, and biochemistry.
Everyone deserves to live with dignity, respect, and equality. I am committed to protecting and advancing the rights of the LGBTQ+ community, including by fighting against discriminatory legislation, promoting inclusive policies, and ensuring that LGBTQ+ individuals have equal access to healthcare, education, and employment opportunities.
